What are the properties of Jarytherm® DBT and its alternatives?
Globaltherm® DBT and its direct alternative Jarytherm® DBT are both high performance synthetic heat transfer fluids used in the liquid phase in closed, forced circulation heat transfer systems.
Since 1989, Global Heat Transfer has worked with global manufacturers to develop high performance thermal fluids. Additionally, its proactive management and maintenance services provide manufacturers with technical and engineering support. Global Heat Transfer stocks and delivers premium heat transfer fluid brands, including those alongside its Globaltherm® range.
Globaltherm® DBT shares many of Jarytherm® DBT’s properties and is miscible for dilution purposes, enabling engineers to use the fluids interchangeably in an existing thermal fluid system with no negative impact. Both heat transfer fluids are designed to deliver optimal performance, enabling manufacturers to maximise output.
Properties of Jarytherm® DBT
- Jarytherm® DBT heat transfer fluid is a synthetic fluid that provides reliable, consistent heat transfer performance over a long life, at recommended bulk temperatures up to 350°C (554°F).
- Globaltherm® DBT is used for applications operating from -5 °C (23 °F) to 350 °C (662 °F). It’s broad temperature range means it can be used over the whole working range without being kept under pressure.
- Both Jarytherm® DBT and Globaltherm® DBT deliver excellent cost performance over the fluid life span when compared to common mineral oil-based heat transfer fluids.
- Both fluids are more readily pumpable at low temperatures than the majority of other mineral oil-based heat transfer fluids.
- Globaltherm® DBT and Jarytherm® DBT offer cost savings in capital, operations, and maintenance when managed well.
