Synthetic heat transfer oil is a heat transfer fluid that has a low propensity to form carbon than mineral based oils, thus offering better heat transfer efficiency and thermal stability. Synthetic heat transfer fluids are more resistant to fouling. Globaltherm – syntec (high-temperature) and Globaltherm – XC (low-temperature) are examples of synthetic heat transfer oils.
