What are the properties of MultiTherm PG-1® and its alternatives?
MultiTherm PG-1® and its Globaltherm® alternative Globaltherm® FG, are both ideal high-quality food grade mineral thermal oils for use in a variety of applications, including food, beverage, chemical or
pharmaceutical processing.
Using a food grade heat transfer fluid that is H1 or HT1 certified as food grade by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and NSF International, ensures consumer safety when manufacturing products for human consumption. While it is not a legal requirement, auditors such as the British Retail Consortium (BRC) often require food processing plants to use certified fluids to protect consumers in case of incidental contact with the product.

- MultiTherm PG-1® has an operating temperature range of -20°C to 326°C
- It is miscible and interchangeable (for top-up or dilution purposes) with other similar mix thermal fluids such as Globaltherm® FG
- This thermal fluid is FDA certified non-toxic
- MultiTherm PG-1® is odourless and colourless
