Globaltherm® DBT is a high-performance synthetic, organic heat transfer fluid formulated for use in closed-loop, unpressurised systems operating in the liquid phase. Engineered with efficiency and stability in mind, it delivers precise temperature control across a wide range of industrial applications, making it an ideal component of any advanced temperature control system. It operates efficiently at temperatures ranging from -5°C (23°F) up to 350°C (662°F).

About Globaltherm® DBT

With a working range from -5°C to 350°C, Globaltherm® DBT is ideal for demanding thermal processes where consistent heat and precise process temperature control are essential. It’s particularly suited for use in chemical manufacturing, HVAC systems, polymer production and solar thermal applications.

Globaltherm® DBT is also well-suited for both heating and cooling systems, including applications operating at high temperatures. Its performance characteristics can be tailored to meet specific system requirements and, if needed, can be optimised by blending with Globaltherm® L for enhanced flexibility.

It is also compatible with similar fluids, allowing for easy system integration or top-up without negative impact — reducing disruption and extending system life.

It’s designed to be safe for use with common construction materials and does not corrode typical metals used in process plant equipment. The fluid is compatible with seal materials such as pure graphite, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and fluor elastomers, making it easy to integrate into existing setups.

Pure graphite seals, particularly those reinforced with metal inserts for added strength and stability, have proven especially effective in systems running Globaltherm® DBT. However, rubber-elastic binders should be avoided, as they tend to swell when exposed to the fluid.
