What are the properties of PURITY™ FG and its alternatives?

Petro-Canada’s PURITY FG and its Globaltherm® alternative Globaltherm® FG, are both ideal food grade heat transfer fluids for use in food, beverage or pharmaceutical processing applications.

Using a food grade heat transfer fluid that is H1 or HT1 certified as food grade by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and NSF International, ensures consumer safety when manufacturing products for human consumption. While it is not a legal requirement, auditors such as the British Retail Consortium (BRC) often require food processing plants to use certified fluids to protect consumers in case of incidental contact with the product.

Since 1989, thermal fluid specialist Global Heat Transfer has worked with food and beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide to provide thermal fluid management and support. Global Heat Transfer stocks and delivers a wide range of premium heat transfer fluid brands, including Petro-Canada’s PURITY™ and Globaltherm®, worldwide.

Globaltherm® FG shares all of PURITY™ FG’s properties and is miscible for dilution purposes, allowing you to add it to your existing thermal fluid with no negative impact on your system. It delivers optimal performance to ensure your system is running at maximum capacity and optimum efficiency.
